15 (3:30 - 5 PM): Harvest/Crush Seminar (free)
Come join us at the winery to learn first hand about the "ins
and outs" of a winery's harvest / crush activities. Lost
Canyon winery is a fully operational winery in Oakland. We process
over 60 tons of grapes each fall. Bob Riskin, one of the owners,
will share our experiences, lessons, and adventures. |

20 (3:30 - 5:00): The Uniqueness of Syrah (free)
Few grapes, and resulting wines, have the potential for greater
variety than Syrah. Join in on a discussion of the wide range
of flavors, aromas, and characteristics available to today's Syrah
drinkers. We will discuss and taste wines ranging from the Shiraz
of Australia to Syrah of the Rhone Valley of France, the warm
weather Syrah of the foothills to the cool climate Syrah of the
California Coast. |

3 (3:00 - 6 PM) Art Exhibit by Roy Tomlinson: (free)
Who knew that Lost Canyon Winery would be sharing a building with
an accomplished and well respective artist. Roy has amassed an
impressive career known for complex and luminescent oil paintings
and photographs. Along with Roy's art, we will be pouring some
of our new release 2006 wines, as well as our 2005 vintage. All

1st (1:00 - 5 PM): Lost Canyon Winery Open House
($ 25 for public, $ 10 wine club members) Come join us for our
Holiday Open House. We will be providing food, raffles, great
people, and, above all, spectacular wine! |
